Meaning of the name

'Peripatos' Collection is named after "Peripatos no Kento 21" which is the name of a future plan for Suzukakedai campus. "Peripatos"(in English, "Peripatetic") means promenade in Greek.
The schools which are established by Aristotle had lots of promenade (Peripatos), and the disciples of Aristotle used to lecture walking around there. That is why they are called "Peripatos school", and in Japan, sometimes they are called Strolling school. Suzukakedai campus has a plan to 2025 (50th anniversary of Suzukakedai campus) whose name is "Suzukake 'Peripatos no kento 21' Future Plan".
