In order to your journal article is published open access, you often have to pay a fee, known as an Article Processing Charge (APC). The publishers below offer a discount on APC to Tokyo Tech authors based on the institute's online journals agreement. Discounts Through Open Access Publishing Agreements (Transformative Agreements etc.)

"Transformative agreements" generally refer to contracts that try to shift gradually the paiments by institutions to publishers from fees for accessing to articles to article publication fees and aim at expanding open access publications thereby.

For OA publication of articles in e-journals that are not covered by the above “Discounts Through OA Publishing Ageements (Transformative Agreements etc.)” , based on the OA Acceleration Project implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, Tokyo Tech will provide support  for the APC.
