Details regarding the implementation of the open access (OA) article processing charge (APC) support system under Science Tokyo’s e-journals OA Publishing Agreements (Transformative Agreements etc.), from January 2026 onwards are as follows.

12 publishers are eligible for APC waivers or discounts through agreements that include OA publishing.

OA publishing contribution amounts and eligibility (internal access only) will continue under the current conditions through March. If their conditions change after April, we will notify you again.

If you want to use external funds(excluding Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research and donations for education and research) to pay OA publishing contribution, you must complete the application for OA publication, and notify and register the budget code to the Library by January 30, 2026 (Fri.). Regarding Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research and donations for education and research, they remain usable thereafter.

If these procedures are completed at the end of the fiscal year, you may be required to pay from the following fiscal year's budget.
