The open access (OA) article processing charge (APC) support system under Science Tokyo’s e-journals OA Publishing Agreements (Transformative Agreements etc.), will be expanded to include the following eligible publishers and eligible authors from January 2025 onward.

 

  1.  11 publishers are eligible for APC waivers or discounts through agreements that include OA publishing.

    【 Publishers 】American Chemical Society、The American Society of Mechanical Engineers、Cambridge University Press、Elsevier、IEEE、Microbiology Society、Rockefeller University Press、SPIE (The international society for optics and photonics)、Springer Nature、Taylor & Francis、Wiley

  2. Publishers other than Elsevier will be eligible starting in January, and Elsevier will be eligible starting in April, for those who are affiliated with Science Tokyo regardless of whether science and engineering members or medical and dental Sciences members.

  3. OA publishing contribution amounts and eligibility (internal access only) will continue under the current conditions through March. If their conditions change after April, we will notify you again.

Notes

  • If you want to use Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research and external funds(excluding donations for education and research) to pay OA publishing contribution, you must complete the application for OA publication, and notify and register the budget code to the Library by January 31, 2025 (Fri.). Please check the following guide for details.
