Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

  • You can stay in the Tokyo Tech Library up to 2 hours from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p. m. on weekdays. If you need more than 2 hours, please let us know the reason and expected leaving time by the application form.

  • You cannot use the Tokyo Tech Library on weekends, holidays and library closed days.

  • Please apply up to 3 weekdays in advance from the day you want to use by application form.

  •    例:If you want to use Monday, May 16, please apply before Wednesday May 11.

    Please refrain use the Ookayama Library on exam week.

    • From Monday, July 25, 2022 to Monday, August 8, 2022
    • From Friday, November 18, 2022 to Friday, December 2, 2022
    • From Friday, January 27, 2023 to Friday, February 10, 2023

  • You cannot enter Tokyo Tech Library without application advance.

  • We are not taking the application advance by tell or email.  Please apply from the application form.

  • We ask your cooperation as follows;

  • Wash your hands with soap or spray alcohol soon after entering the library and using the library materials.
  • In the library, please wear a mask.
  • Please do not talk to other people.
  • Please keep the social distance, about 2 meters(6 feet), from other users.
  • Please refrain from visiting if you are bad health condition (e.g. have a fever over 37.5 degrees, cough, sore throat and so on).
  • If you are infected with COVID-19 in 2 weeks after visiting, please contact us by Ask Online.
  • We will take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ask your cooperation such as thorough hand-washing.

  • [Ookayama Library] Please use the designated desk on the 1st basement floor.

  • The title of material you want to use is required for the application advance. 
  • Please make sure apply after that you have decided the materials to use.
  • Please refrain from coming to Tokyo Tech Library to use the materials that can be used in your near public libraries.
  • We do not extend the borrowing card  and library card.

Our library is open to the public, but only for those who need our library materials for the purpose of academic research and study or are not  insufficient by Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery.

  • All library users are required to observe the library rules and policies.
  • Please check our Library's online catalog in advance and make sure that our Library holds the materials you want.
  • You can not enter the library only for the purpose of using the library facilities.
  • Tokyo Tech members have priority use of the library materials.

Available Services

1. Browsing library materials

  • If the material is located in "Stack Room" or "Counter", you have to make an application for use at the counter.
  • The e-journals are available on dedicated computers in the library from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Please come to the counter until 4:30 p.m..

2. Copying library materials

  • Photocopiers are available for copying library materials. For more information, please check  the following link.
  • All library users must comply with the Copyright Law of Japan.
  • There are coin-operated machines, so please prepare small money. We do not make change.
  • When you want to use it, please proceed to the counter until until 4:30 p.m..

3. Borrowing books

  • You may apply for the library card if you need to borrow books regularly.
