To find journal articles, use "Web of Science" a comprehensive database that includes academic literature, citation indexes, conference proceedings, and books.
You can use "CiNii Research" to search for information on academic papers published in Japan.
Reference management tools, software tools help you collect and manage references are available to students, faculty, and staffs. These tools can be used to generate bibliographies easily.
