Library services of Ookayama Library and Suzukakedai Library

Entering
  • Campus Card and Access Card Holders: Touch the gate sensor with your card one by one to open the gate. 
  • Those without a Campus Card and Access Card: Please present your Photo ID (staff IC card or student IC card) at the circulation counter.
    • Until the authentication system is integrated, the gate will not open with the card issued by the medical/dental administration.
  • Besides a Photo ID, you can enter the Libraries with a Library Card issued by the Ookayama/Suzukakedai Library (see the column below). Please present it at the circulation counter.
Application for a library card
  • Campus Card and Access Card Holders: Application for a library card is not required.
  • Those without a Campus Card and Access Card:  If you need to borrow books, please apply for a library card. When applying, present your Photo ID and fill in a designated form.

Hours for Application & When to be Issued:

8:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on weekdays: approximately 30 min. after applying Weekends or public holidays, after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays: afternoon of the next business weekday

 
Checkout/Return/Renewal

  • Checkout:

    • Checkout: The library card issued by the Ookayama/Suzukakedai Library is required. For loan conditions, please refer to Checkout, Renewal, Return.
    • Campus Card and Access Card Holders: You can borrow with your own card. Self-checkout machines are also available.

  • Return:

    • Please return (directly) to the Ookayama/Suzukakedai/Konodai Library.You cannot return book to the Ochanomizu Library.  Please refer to this page.

  • Renewal:

    • Please contact Ask Service during the loan period.
    • You can renew books at the circulation counters by the Ookayama/Suzukakedai Library. Please bring your Library card issued by the Ookayama/Suzukakedai Library and the book you are borrowing.
Order Books (from Ookayama Library and Suzukakedai Library)
  • Through the Library Catalog: Please note that you can receive books only at the Ookayama Library, Konodai Library, and Suzukakedai Library. Please refer to "Reservation/Intercampus Borrowing".
  • [Students only] It is possible to order books to the Konodai Library.Please refer to this page.
Use of e-resources with the Libraries' PC
  • The PCs for e-resources and printing are available from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays only. Please come to the circulation counter to use by 4:30 p.m.
Use of campus wireless LAN Available. Please refer to this page for connection instructions.
[Ookayama Library] Entering the 2nd and 3rd Floors Please apply to the circulation counter on the B1F floor with your IC card. Groupe Study Rooms on the 3rd floor are also available.
[Suzukakedai] Seminar Rooms Reservations are required for the use of Seminar Rooms in advance of the date of use. Please refer to this page.

[Notice]

  • Please apply to your campus library when ordering books from other university libraries via the ILL service.
  • For alumni, please refer to this page.

About search systems of Library Catalog and E-Journals and E-Books 

The systems are not integrated and cross-search is not available. Please use the respective search systems.

About access to E-Journals, E-Books and Databases 

Those contracted at former Tokyo Tech also available at Ochanomizu,  Kounodai and Surugadai Campus starting in January 2025 or April 2025, with the exception of some services.
