The Ookayama Library provides four Group Study Rooms for group learning,  such as preparation for coursework, seminars, presentation practices, etc.

All four rooms have glass walls and are not soundproof. Please refrain from speaking loudly.

* Any visitors are not allowed to use Group Study Rooms.

2 people
* Individual use is not acceptable.

How to reserve a room

Reservations are required for the use of Group Study Rooms.

  • Please login to Portal for Sci & Eng Field, Science Tokyo and apply from the facility reservation of the Web system for S&F.
    • Service hours: Any time from 90 days before the desired date of use until the day before 
      • Example: If you apply on May 10, you may reserve any available room opening date between May 11 and August 8.
    • You will receive a confirmation email.
    • The confirmation email will arrive on the next business day when an application is submitted on weekends/public holidays/library holidays or after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
    • Please contact us if the confirmation email has not arrived even after the next business day.
  • Same-day reservations are available at the Circulation counter on the 1st basement floor.
    • Service hours: 8:45 a.m. to 15 minutes before closing time. (Not available on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays)
  • If you do not have access to the Web system for S&F (e.g., if you belong to the medicine, dentistry, health care sciences, and oral health care sciences fields or have an Access Card), please apply by e-mail.
    • Service hours: Any time from 90 days before the desired date of use until the day before
    • You will receive a confirmation email.
    • Please fill out the following information to apply.
      • When applying, please use the domain address of the Science Tokyo or former Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
      • To: lib.room◎adm.isct.ac.jp (Please change ◎ to @)
      • Subject: Group Study Room Application
      • Main text: Name of representative, student/staff number, affiliation, number of people who wish to use the room, date and time, and purpose of use.
    • The confirmation email will arrive on the next business day when an application is submitted on weekends/public holidays/library holidays or after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
    • Please contact us if the confirmation email has not arrived even after the next business day.
  • You can see the current vacancies here. After 5 p.m., please ask for vacancies of the day at the circulation counter.

Cancel / Change your Reservation

  • Until the day before the reservation date: change or cancel your reservation on the “Reserving Facilities” page of the Web system for S&F. 
  • If you are unable to access the Web system for S&F, or if you need to cancel or change your reservation on the day of use, let us know by an email replying to the confirmation email / at the circulation counter on the B1.
  • A group that is 15 minutes late forfeits its reservation.

Notes

  • A group is not allowed to make multiple reservations during the same time period.
  • The Library provides the smallest room among available ones which can accommodate all members of your group.
  • Valid ID Card (e.g., Student IC card or Staff IC card) is necessary for making a reservation at the counter and receiving the room key.
  • Please come to the circulation counter with at least two members.
  • If your group is scheduled to use the room immediately after another group, there may be a short wait before you receive the key card. We appreciate your understanding.
