Ookayama Library provides four Group Study Rooms for group learning, preparation for course work, seminars, presentation practice and so on.

<COVID-19 infection prevention and control>

  • For the time being, every room accommodates about the half of the maximum seating capacity. Minimum group size is two people.
  • The ventilation system works all day in every room.
  • Acrylic panels are set up in every room. Please be sure to sit with a safe distance between members.
  • We offer each group a pack of disinfection wipes and a disposal trash box with the room key. Please clean the surfaces of door levers, table and chairs before and after use.
  • In the Group Study Rooms, please wear a mask.

A single group can use a room only once, up to 3 hours per day.

All current Tokyo Tech members
 *Access of visitors is prohibited.

Minimum group size

2 people
*Single use is not possible. 

How to reserve a room

Reservations can be made  by submitting the application at the counter on B1 or by accessing to “Reserving facilities” on the “Web system for S&F”.  

  •  When you use a room on the day, visit the counter in person.
  • Both “Access Card” holder and proxy* are required to visit the counter to submit the application.
     *Only faculty or staff can be a proxy for an actual user.
  • Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance from the day you want to use.
  • A reservation on a regular basis on the  same day of the week is also acceptable.

Service hours: Until 5 p.m. on weekdays. Not available after 5 p. m.  or on weekends

Service hours: 24 hours

  • Library’s reply e-mail will complete your reservation.
  • Our confirmation e-mail will be arrived on the next opening weekday in the following cases: reservation requests submitted after 5 p.m., on weekends, holidays and our closed days.
  • Please contact us by ”Ask Service” if our confirmation e-mail has not arrived even after the next opening weekday.

Cancel or changing a reservation

If you want to cancel or change your reservation up to the day before the date of use, please be sure to request it through the "Web system for S&F". 
If you need to do so on the day of use, please be sure to contact us by e-mail or at the counter.

Any reservation not claimed within the first 15 minutes will be canceled and made available to other applicants.

Attention

  • The library chooses the smallest room among available ones, which can accommodate all members of your group.
  • Tokyo Tech IC Card is necessary for making a reservation at the counter and receiving the room key.
