The Ookayama Library provides four Group Study Rooms for group learning,  such as preparation for coursework, seminars, presentation practices, etc.

* More people than capacity may use the room for some special reasons. Please contact us in advance.

  •    Extension is subject to availability at the end of your room use.

All current Tokyo Tech members
 * Any visitors are not allowed to use Group Study Rooms.

Minimum group size

2 people
* Individual use is not acceptable.

How to reserve a room

  • Tokyo Tech members can make a reservation on the“Web system for S&F” or at the circulation counter on B1 of the Ookayama Library.  Access Card holders can make a reservation only at the circulation counter.
  • Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.
  • You can see the current vacancies here. After 5 p.m., please ask for vacancies of the day at the circulation counter.

Service hours: 24 hours

  • You will receive a confirmation email.

  • The confirmation email will arrive on the next business day when an application is submitted on weekends/public holidays/library holidays or after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
  • Please contact us if the confirmation email has not arrived even after the next business day.

Circulation counter on the 1st basement floor

  • Walk-in user groups on the day may book a room as long as the room is available.
  • Tokyo Tech ID Card is required.

Cancel / Change your Reservation

  • Until the day before the reservation date: change or cancel your reservation on the “Reserving Facilities” page of the Web system for S&F. 
  • On the day of the reservation: let us know by an email replying to the confirmation email / at the circulation counter on the B1.
  • A group that is 15 minutes late forfeits its reservation.


  • The Library provides the smallest room among available ones which can accommodate all members of your group.
  • Tokyo Tech IC Card is necessary for making a reservation at the counter and receiving the room key.
  • Please come to the circulation counter with at least two members.
